We had a writing competition. We would have to make something called a naming shield and name ourself. The naming shild wass made out of a paper that was a circle. We would trace an animal and then make a border. I named myself Bluestar. Nathan named himself Thunderbird. Then we had to write a story on how we got our name. State Reports and Our Class Pets
B-5 is doing a state report. We all picked a state and researched it. Lucy is doing Georgia, Matthew is doing Hawai'i, JJ is doing Oklahoma, Nathan is doing West Virginia (There's more but I won't say them). The first chapter is Landforms. Thanks to Mrs. Daily we have state books. We are looking forward to finsh the report!

Our Class Pets
We have two nameless hermit crabs in Mrs. Baniaga's class. One pinches anyone that it doesn't feel comfortable with. The other one stays in its shell all day. The hermit crab that pinches is very active. It actually eats in front of us. The other hermit crab is too shy to eat in front of us. Its favorite hobby is probably sleeping. The hermit crab that pinches lives in a golden shell. The hermit crab that is shy and lives in a white spiral shell. Please help us name our hermit crabs! Post some names up on the comments!

Update on our Hermit Crabs
Hello,I would like to tell you about our class pets. Well, we had a really hard time finding the right name for our 2 hermit crabs. But finally, (whew!) we found names for the crabs. One of the crabs is very lazy and sleepy and has a long shell with a point on the end. We named him/her Shelly. The other crab is very wild and once it pinched Mrs. Baniaga! It's shell is not that interesting. We named him/her Smelly. They are cool!
